When choosing a hand it is important to note
The hands that require 2019 and NEWS are singular tiles and you may not use a joker within.
Quints hands will require 2 or more jokers because there are only 4 of each number dragon or wind tile.
In the Singles and Pairs area of the card you may not use a joker and all the hands are concealed, you may not “call” a discarded tile from another player except if this is the last tile you need for Mah Jongg.
